A school in Garissa County on Thursday sought legal redress following the cancellation of 2018 KCSE examination results for 125 candidates.
Ikhlas Integrated High School has now filed a case against the Ministry of Education and Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
The school has faulted the two bodies for what it terms as irrational cancellation of results for students who worked hard to change their lives only to be denied a chance to do so.
Through advocate Evans Mirieri, the school filed a suit at the Milimani Court in a bid to get the results of their students.
The school principal Mohamed Abdi Digale, Abdirazak Omar Ibrahim has raised concern over the way the matter was handled.
Ibrahim and 124 parents claim that the two bodies didn’t listen to their side of the story before the cancellation of the results of students accused of engaging in education malpractice.
Documents seen by Citizen, outline the school is not convinced with the cancellation of results because there was massive security at the institution during the examination period.
The complainants argue that there is no way the students could have been involved in alleged cases of cheating yet security men were all the institution.
