More leaders have reacted to the arrest and deportation of a Chinese national who was caught on camera insulting Kenyans and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Chinese national, identified as Liu Jiaqi caused a storm online after the video in which he likened Kenyans to monkeys was shared widely on different social media platforms.
Irate Kenyans called for action to be taken against Liu, with some saying he should be deported.
Liu's work permit was later cancelled before he was deported on grounds of racism by the Immigration department.
Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula has however faulted the government of the move, arguing that it will taint President Kenyatta's image.
In a series of tweets on Thursday, Wetangula further cited the case of the late Nelson Mandela whom he said endured racist brutalities.
On his part, Elgeyo Marakwet Kipchumba Murkomen said there are many Kenyans who are worse than Liu Jiaqi, as they engage in acts of tribalism.
