A leaked video of former 1500M World Champion Asbel Kiprop with Nancy Rotich has revealed shocking things Kenyans did not know about a man who made the nation proud three years ago.
In an interesting twist of events, the athlete has revealed that the lady has caused him more harm than good since they came to know each other.
The athlete, who is fighting doping claims, said that he happened to knock down a woman to death while on his way to pick Rotich, who unsuccessfully vied for a Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Sergoit ward, Uasin Gishu county, for their clandestine activities at Kapseret, on his way from the Eldoret Moi International Airport.
He also said that the woman has been a bad omen in his life, adding that he regrets ever meeting her.
At one point, the athlete said that he called the husband, athlete Andrew Chepsiya to confess the love affair. Chepsiya on his part, says he feels betrayed by the acts of Kiprop.
He revealed that he lent Kiprop Sh500,000 to settle the family of the woman he had accidentally killed while rushing to pick his wife without his knowledge.
The video has continued to elicit mixed reactions from different factions. The woman is said to have attempted to commit suicide before she was rushed to a hospital in Eldoret town for treatment.
