It all started when the renown comedian took to social media  to lecture local artists on why their music doesn't get to the airwaves.

"But the question is how did we get here to NAIJA and BONGO? Marketing! Aggressiveness! And getting out your comfort zone! If you are still depending on Radio and TV to make you big then you have nothing in this industry!" Jalang'o wrote to the artists through his social media.

The comedian also sympathized with some of the artists who have not launched their songs and expect media houses to play their songs.

However, this did not go well with the 'China Love' hitmaker. While updating her fans on her new playlist that comprises of Kenya's songs only, she left a word for Jalang'o.

"Anyway! My Sister DJ POIZON IVY & I have created a playlist our top 50 (FIFTY) FAVORITE CURRENT KENYAN SONGS in no Particular order!! Support your own Kenya DO IT NOW....for the ignorant Jalang'os that are deaf and dumb to Kenyan talent," posted Kimani.

This comes at a time when there is an outcry from Kenyans artists who claim their music is not played in our local radio and TV stations.
