Police in Homabay county are looking for a woman alleged to have burned her husband with boiling oil on Wednesday.

The incident happened in Sindo Township, Suba South constituency after a domestic wrangle ensued between the two.

According to Citizen Digital, the victim, 40-year-old John Onyango is a fisherman at the nearby Wadiang'a beach.

He is nursing burn injuries, as an effect of the hot oil that was poured on him by the wife, Millicent Atieno.

Confirming the incident, area Chief Samuel Obado said that the incident might have resulted from an escalated domestic disagreement.

Obado said that the two have been in constant conflicts and domestic disagreements lately. He noted that the suspect pulled out a sufuria of boiling oil from fire and poured it on the victim, before taking off.

Noting that such cases are becoming rampant in the area, the area chief called upon residents and villagers to embrace more civilised ways of conflict resolution, to avoid casualties and deaths.

He also, called upon relevant government agencies to step in and enlighten families on domestic conflicts management and control.
