Being a bartender comes with numerous challenges that range from working during terrible hours, working for long period of time, dealing with different personalities among others.
This makes the job only manageable to few people who aim to stand firmly to it.
At times, the bartenders might be moody and it is quite important to stay out of any form of discussion that might spike things up.
To be on the good side, here are things you should never direct to a bartender when in their working station;
1. 'What's your real job?'
This is one of the most asked questions bartenders take it negatively. The fact that you have gone to the club or pub and the bartender has given you what you ordered, knowing their real job is not your business. Avoid causing unnecessary drama when insisting to know what they are employed for.
2. 'Make me whatever you want'
A bartender is not employed to choose what customers have to take. The customers are mandated to order what they want. Telling a bartender to give you what they want is a command and you can dispute it by refusing what have been brought to you hence causing more commotion in the club.
3. 'Make it a strong one'
Before settling for what you want to be served, make clear requests so that you do not keep bartenders in heated discussion on what they might have served you and you never wanted it. Keep in mind that you will pay for what you have been served with. Be careful.
