Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has said President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are in good terms.
Cherargei said the two Jubilee leaders have maintained their trust and unity but there are people around them who want to split them.
The vocal senator claimed there is a group they refer to as ‘Runda Group’ which is threatening the relationship between Uhuru and Ruto.
He said the ‘Runda Group’ is what they fear that is plotting the downfall of the DP ahead of 2022.
There have been claims by politicians allied to the DP that there are top people in government who want to scuttle the DP’s 2022 ambitions.
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko earlier claimed that Interior PS Karanja Kibicho was leading a group of Mt Kenya politicians that is planning on how to shortage Ruto ahead of 2022.
Kibicho, however, came out to rubbish the claims.
Efforts to have Cherargei name the people in this so-called Rund Group were futile.
