Uhuru has been very vocal on matters the fight against corruption lately and has repeatedly warned that no one will be spared as he seeks to wipe the menace out of the country.

Speaking on Wednesday during an interview on Radio Citizen's Jambo Kenya morning show, Elachi said that Uhuru's anger is justifiable, noting that he is growing frustrated at the sight of being let down by the people he has trusted to help him run the nation.

She said that the group is maximizing on the president's weakness of giving his full trust to his officials by using their positions to fleece the nation, hence his anger.

"Uhuru ako na weakness moja ambayo ni kuamini sana maafisa wake. Na anakasirika sana anapowaona wakitumia imani yake kwao vibaya. (His main weakness is giving his full trust to the people he has given state jobs and is growing very angry when they let him down by allowing corruption to prosper)," said Elachi.

She also defended Uhuru's union with opposition leader Raila Odinga in the anti-corruption purge, noting that the former Prime Minister's support is needed to win the battle.

The former nominated legislator also observed that with Raila's supporters behind him, the president stands a better chance of not only kicking corruption out of Kenya but also winning his national cohesion bid.

"Watu wetu katika Jubilee wasimdharau Raila maana pia yeye anakuja na msaada mkubwa na mamilioni ya wafuasi (Raila should not be written off, he is equally important)," she added.
