An MP from Gusii region has been accused of allegedly taking advantage of Deputy President William Ruto's Tanga Tanga group to gain political mileage.
Tabaka ward MCA Daniel Apepo Ombasa while speaking at Tabaka shopping centre on Thursday evening slammed South Mugirango constituency MP Sylvanus Osoro for seeking political mileage using the pro-William Ruto group.
Ombasa who was elected on a Jubilee Party ticket claimed that Osoro has been at the forefront talking about DP Ruto's Tanga Tanga instead of serving the electorate.
"I want to urge MP Osoro to stop misusing his powers bestowed on him by the people of South Mugirango to gain himself. It is sad that everywhere he goes he talks about Tanga Tanga instead of talking matters development," he stated.
The vocal ward representative argued that 2022 is too far for Osoro to continue pushing for DP Ruto's presidential bid.
"MP Osoro must go slow on matters concerning Tanga Tanga and Jubilee Party to focus on serving the electorate. Kenyans will make a choice in 2022 on who should be the next president," he added.
Ombasa confirmed that he is not opposed to the formation of Tanga Tanga, therefore, politicians should not use the group to push for their selfish agenda.
