The defending champions moved a step closer to winning the title after seeing off Sofapaka 3-0 in midweek and will be champions with only a point against their perennial rivals.

Goals from Joachim Oluoch, Innocent Wafula and Samuel Onyango were enough to give K’Ogalo the win against Batoto Ba Mungu, which drew the applause of coach Dylan Kerr.

He further told the team to enjoy their match against AFC, knowing it will be special if they win and be crowned champions.

“Win the league today play Saturday against AFC Leopards and become heroes. But do it cleverly, use your football brain to win the game. We cannot play pretty football on this field we have to be ruthless that means fight scrap and do everything not to concede a goal and we will score,” he said as quoted by Goal.

Gor are atop of the Kenya Premier League with an unassailable lead, with a 20-point gap between them and AFC, who are placed second.
