A village in Kuresoi South was left in shock after a local teacher was brutally murdered.
The teacher, described as humble, was allegedly killed by her husband at Kiptoben on Saturday night.
Area chief Nicholas Kering said the man, identified as Bernard Kipkemoi, killed his wife before committing suicide.
The man is said to have used a kitchen knife to slit the teacher's throat after a quarrel.
The couple left behind a three-year-old boy.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Molo sub-county hospital mortuary.
It is not clear why the man went for such a tragic move despite the two being described as a 'peaceful couple'.
