Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi hosted over 500 children drawn from several children homes from Kilifi County at his office on Friday.
"Today I wish to appreciate and pay profound tribute to care givers in children homes for their selfless service, sacrifice and dedication in providing shelter and a family setting to disadvantaged children and orphans," he said.
The governor said his administration through the Department of Social Services will work hand in hand with children homes to ensure an improvement on their standards and provide even better services to the kids.

"The Christmas season is a time to reflect on God's selflessness, love and care for others. It is an opportunity for us to continue spreading the spirit of love, kindness and joy and continue supporting the less privileged in our communities," said Governor Kingi.
