A middle-aged man has denied impregnating a barmaid who gave birth and dumped the infant into a pit latrine on Thursday at Igonga area in Bonchari Sub County, Kisii County.
Charles Magero accused the woman identified as Brenda for dragging him on.
"I am married and I wish to dismiss the false allegations Brenda is putting against me. I didn't impregnate her as she claimed. Let her carry her own cross," he said.
Magero noted that he only knew Brenda when he went to a local bar where she was working.
