Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has asserted that Deputy President William Ruto is not a thief as he is being referred by his political rivals.
Maangi argued that the money DP Ruto has been dishing out at fund drives to build churches is not stolen money.
According to Maangi, DP Ruto's has been giving out funds because he is a blessed leader.
"Ruto's critics are desperate given that they won't defeat him in 2022 for the country's top seat. Ruto has never stolen money as claimed. What he gives at fundraisers is what he has worked for," said Maangi.
He maintained that Ruto's opponents are afraid over DP Ruto's massive following across the country.
Maangi reiterated that he will not stop working with DP Ruto due to his good development ideologies he has for Kenyans.
"Ruto is development oriented and I am not going to stop associating with him anytime soon. Elected leaders must work as a team to serve the electorates who deserves development and not divisive politics," he noted.
He was speaking on Monday evening after he condoled with the family of a Catholic priest Fr. Cosmas Ondari, who was allegedly shot by suspected Cameroon soldiers on November 21, 2018, at Mfame Parish in Cameroon.
