Kapseret MP Oscar Kipchumba Sudi has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to relieve off CS Fred Matiangi his duties, citing the insecurity threat in his constituency.
In a Facebook post, the vocal legislator stated that the CS has failed in containing security concerns in the country, adding that he should be relieved duties.
"I ask the President to relieve CS Fred Matiang'i from chairing the development committee and let him concentrate his efforts on his docket,
"If it's not possible to relieve Matiang'i from other duties then I ask Mr. President to appoint new blood in the security docket,"read his Facebook post
The MP, who has been critic of the Interior Department PS Karanja Kibicho, asked him to improve his working activities in a similar way he has emphasized on the 'divisive politics in jubilee'.
"I also wish PS Karanja Kibicho could up his game in his docket like the way he's investing in politics of division within Jubilee Party."he added
Sudi's remarks follows the killings which occurred at Kapkobil Village where a bodaboda operator and the passenger on board, who was a prospective first year of Kenyatta University, were killed by bandits.
Banditry has been a menace in the rift valley with communities living in fear as a result of attack threats.
