Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has refuted claims that he has registered a new political party.
The vocal county boss said he is still in Jubilee noting that reports of him registering a new party were rumours meant to tarnish his name.
There have been reports that allied of Deputy President William Ruto have registered two political parties even as they eye 2022, with fears of cracks within the ruling Jubilee party.
“If a group of people have opened a supermarket and you are among the shareholders how can you move out of a supermarket and open a kiosk, will you be normal surely?” noted Mandago in Eldoret town, Monday.
“I have no intentions whatsoever to ditch the Jubilee party and register my own political party since I am contended with its leadership and I will help president Uhuru Kenyatta to implement his manifesto,” he added.
The Jubilee governor reiterated that their, as county bosses, is to ensure that President Kenyatta leaves his legacy by ensuring they implement the agendas meant to improve the livelihoods of Kenyans.
He, however, slammed the opposition for spreading propaganda and lies that Jubilee party is experiencing problems saying that the Jubilee party is intact and they will remain united until 2022 where the Deputy President William Ruto will ascend to power.
