President Uhuru Kenyatta's move to re-appoint the outgoing police Inspector General Joseph Boinett has rubbed Kenyans the wrong way.

Boinett whose term has come to an end is now replaced by Hilary Mutyambi as he heads to Tourism and Wildlife as Chief Administrative Secretary.

Kenyans from different walks of life have expressed their dissatisfaction on social media.

A number of them have opined that the head of state has failed terribly by re-appointing a 'retiree' instead of a youngblood.

On Twitter, Maurice Wekesa objected the appointment arguing that President was not working the talking the talk in sourcing for employment the unemployed youths.

"I disagree with the president just appointing somebody has retired recently yet there is somebody outside there with papers who can really work the position given to Boinnet your work is telling us we are creating employment for our youth my quiz is Boinnet a youth," he tweeted.

Others have also questioned the manner in which the position of Chief Administrative Secretary was created.

They have opined that it is unconstitutional and is being used to reward friends.

"Positions created to reward friends and waste public resources," Ken Kimathi tweeted.

A section of Kenyans also argued that he didn't deserve another chance to serve after he failed during tenure.
