Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut has alleged that a section of Uasin Gishu leaders have ditched Deputy President (DP) William Ruto's camp.
In a tweet, Chepkut claimed that the leaders had joined the Kieleweke camp which is against the DP's presidential bid.
"In Uasin Gishu County, it’s only Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and his Soy counterpart Caleb Kositany who are fronting the Tanga Tanga activities.
"The rest, led by the Governor Jackson Mandago, Senator Margaret Kamar and Gladys Boss Sholei, have recently decamped," Chepkut said.
Team tanga tanga is allied to DP Ruto and has been traversing the country popularising the latter's 2022 presidential bid.
The three leaders are yet to confirm, or respond to the claims by the Ainabkoi legislator.
Over the past few weeks, members of team Kieleweke and tanga tanga have been engaged in a heated exchange, with both parties propagating their ideologies.
A section of leaders have, however, distanced themselves from the two groups, claiming that a lot of politicking can create tension in the country.
