Wazito FC booked their place in the Kenya's top flight for next season when they beat St Joseph 7-1 on Sunday.
Here we take a look at Wazito FC and what they will bring to the Kenya Premier League.
Wazito was founded by the University of Nairobi soccer team and alumni 8 years ago. Climbing it’s way up from the lower league tiers to the National Super League.
So how did this entertaining team come from being a students owned team to one of the top clubs in Kenya ?
Business man Ricardo Badoer was the man who pulled the strings together. He took over Wazito FC back in October 2018.
Badoer has had a profound impact on Wazito after taking the club from mid-table National Super League team to promotion into the premier league in a under less than a year through huge investment.
Badoer's ambition when he took over was to have a club that would challenge for trophies and true to his word the team has delivered glory.
It will be fascinating to see how the new Wazito FC will approach the league and how their big money spending will influence the league.
