The 2022 succession politics have continued to take center stage in most public events.

The President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga’s handshake has caused a storm in Jubilee.

The gravest mistake Mt. Kenya mafia can make is dumping Deputy President William Ruto for Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.

Moi and Ruto are not equals. Ruto is a self-made politician while Moi is walking in the shadow of his father, Retired President Daniel Arap Moi.  Ruto has been very loyal to President Kenyatta.

He stood with the commander in chief of the armed forces when he was taken to the International Criminal Court of Justice (ICC) based at The Hague.

The Kalenjin community will feel betrayed if the Mt Kenya leaders decide to abandon Ruto as he seeks to become the next president of this nation.

The second in command has maintained his cool despite feeling betrayed.

A section of his supporters are not happy with the current friendship between Uhuru and Odinga. The political landscape of this nation will change if Mt. Kenya leaders change their mind as far as backing DP Ruto for power.

Ruto is likely to consider leaving Jubilee for another party if he doesn’t get the support of the region.
