This follows the ex-MPs reckless and potentially inciting utterances he recently made.

A video of the MP has been making rounds on social media with Kenyans calling for his arrest.

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi shared the video on his official Facebook page and asked the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Nordin Haji to arrest the former legislator.

"I want to ask Director DCI George Kinoti to arrest this warmonger immediately before tomorrow 12.00 noon. Kinoti should concentrate on such serious demanding cases and avoid arrests that are preliminarily sideshows. These are the kind of leaders who belong to jail. No leader should be given space to preach divisive politics and animosity among Kenyans," reads Sudi's post that accompanied the controversial video.

Some of the locals in Eldoret, an area that was largely affected by the 2007/08 post-election violence also called for the arrest and prosecution of the MP.

“We condemn the so-called politician for making such uncouth statements, DPP should not hesitate to pin him following the rule of law to eradicate such characters that are dragging our country back to the dark days,” angry David Keny said.

Pastor Kizito of Jesus ministry on his part appealed for churches to unite Christian against rogue leaders leading the country in the wrong direction.

“Leaders fanning animosity should be held accounted for their deeds. Churches should play a role of bringing Christians together for the safety of our country,” Kizito said.

Mary Atieno on his part called for peace and harmony across the county urging people to shun divisive politics.

“We must preach peace and rebuke any leaders perpetrating conflicts amongst us,” Atieno said.
