President Uhuru Kenyatta has congratulated incoming Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai. The head of state urged him to deliver his duties without any form of fear or favor after taking over from Joseph Boinett.

 Uhuru, who is completing his second and final term in office, said he has confidence that the new IG has what it takes to transform the police service before the end of his tenure in office.  He also promised to stand with him to the end.

“H.E. Kenyatta congratulated the incoming IG and asked him to use his wide experience & exposure in the security sector to ensure the protection of the lives of Kenyans & their property. He stated that no nation can achieve economic & political stability without security @WilliamsRuto,” State House revealed.

He also called upon other members in the police service to cooperate with the new boss for better service delivery in the remaining part of his leadership.

“President Kenyatta urged IG Mutyambai to work closely with his colleagues and members of the @NPSC_KE to deliver on the mandate of the service in line with its motto “Utumishi kwa Wote”, so as to achieve the country's social and economic objectives | @WilliamsRuto,” he said.

On his part, Mutyambai has pledged to give his level best following the appointment.
