Self-Proclaimed Prophet Dr David Owuor is popular among city residents especially those in Kibera.
Majority of Owuor’s followers in Nairobi have been said to hail from Kibera and other slum areas.
The prophet's followers have never been afraid of praising him for his miracles and prophecies.
Dr Owuor continues to attract many followers owing to the miracles and healing he allegedly performs.
Men, women and prophets of God are 'called' to the ministry or receive their anointing through various ways.
Prophet Owuor claims he received his calling through a dream.
According to the Repentance and Holiness Prophet, God appeared to him through a dream when he was in Israel in 1996.
Owuor says that God kept appearing to him but he was running away.
"I kept running away from Him not knowing that you cannot run away from God forever,” he says.
In 2001, Prophet Owuor says that he got involved in bad road accident and broke his collarbone.
The Prophet says that blood was oozing from his eyes and was rushed to hospital only for doctors to confirm that there was nothing serious.
He says that the accident made him to start believing in the visions he was getting from God.
