A man in his 50s has gone into hiding after it emerged that he has been sleeping with his 23-year-old daughter.
The incident happened on Saturday in Raganga in Kisii County.
Locals said the Alfred Nyapara has been engaging in illicit sex with his daughter only identified as Juliet.
"Nyapara has been chasing men coming to his home to ask him for permission marry Juliet something we have been wondering why he is opposed to his daughter getting married," stated Andrew Bosire.
Mr. Bosire a team of ageing women were sent by elders to interrogate Juliet as to why her father doesn't want her to get married.
"The lady revealed to the women that his father has been having sex with her for the last 3 years since she completed form four," he noted.
An elder Boaz Moi said Nyapara escaped from the village after community policing officials were sent to apprehend him.
"He is at large due to shame. It is shameful and an abomination for Nyapara to engage in illicit sex with his own daughter after he kicked out his wife 6 years ago," said Moi.
Simon Bichanga area chief said men should stop ruining their daughter's lives.
"Nyapara should either surrender or he forget returning back to this village," he noted.
