Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has revealed why he suspended youthful Sports minister Duke Mainga.
According to the county boss, he sacked Mr Mainga over sabotage and misconduct.
The county boss however, said the minister will have to explain his misconduct on a later date.
"We can't have executives behaving childishly. Let it very clear, I have suspended him not sacked," said the county boss in a statement.
It is suspected that Ongwae arrived at the decision to suspend Mainga because he has been allowing people to access Gusii stadium contrary to the county government rules and regulations given that Ongwae's government has spent a lot of money to give the stadium a new face.
Mainga who is also a musician served as a student leader at Kisii University.
He unsuccessfully vied for the Bomachoge Boraru MP seat but he lost to the current MP Prof. Zadock Ogutu.
Early, the youthful minister dismissed the suspension claims terming the claims as rumors.
"Kindly treat the information making rounds on social media as rumors from a very informal source," said the former MP hopeful.
