Mr. Gichana, who was released from Tanzania prison a month ago, will make his first trip home on Friday, an event that is expected to be graced by several supporters both from Kisii and Nyamira Counties.

After his release, Bosco confessed that Mr. Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga, helped him to raise Sh15 million fine.

"I was helped by Raila, Ruto, Governor James Ongwae and Oscar Sudi among other well wishers.

He added: "When I was in jail, only Kalonzo Musyoka and a host of ordinary people came to see me. Apparently, no leader from Kisii and Nyamira turned up," he said.

A source privy to Ruto's itinerary said the DP has declined the invitation since he was likely to share podium with Raila Odinga, who has since traveled to the US for a week.

"He will not come. He changed his mind but expect Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka. They will be around on Friday," he said.

In an interview, Bosco vowed to mobilise over one million voters from across the two counties, adding that it will give platform for him to bargain.

Sources also reveal that Bosco could partner with self proclaimed Gusii spokesperson Simba Arati in the race to succeed Governor James Ongwae.

Mr. Ruto, who visited the region last week, is working around the clock to displace Raila's dominance that has lasted for a decade in the region.

But during the event, the DP will be represented by Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi and firebrand Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei.
