This began at the morgue where the release was delayed for close to 6 hours, leading to an abnormal 10-minute burial prayer for the foetus.

The short religious piece was conducted by Reverend Samuel Allan of Anglican Church of Kenya Homa Bay Cathedral.

The body arrived home at 4:27 pm, and contrary to the Luo traditions dictating that it should be taken inside the home first for viewing, it was taken directly to the grave.

Mourners were not allowed to mourn loudly, with each weeping silently in accordance to the local culture stating that people are not to weep loudly over a newborn or a foetus.

However, the unborn baby was buried in Homa Bay, at the home of Samuel Odenge's who is Sharon's paternal grandfather.

This was because of the lack of communication between Sharon's people and the husband.

Sharon's death, according to chief government pathologist Dr Johansen Odour was as a result of stab wounds and strangulation by her abductors, with several blows penetrating her tummy to pierce the baby.

Her lifeless body was found dumped at Kodera forest in Oyugis, Homa Bay County last week on Wednesday. Suspects into her murder including Migori Governor Okoth Obado's P.A Michael Oyamo have been arrested.
