The incident happened on June 2.

While appearing before the Makadara Law Courts, the guard, David Kombo Lucas was asked to shed more light on the circumstance behind the attack on the senator and daughter of the county boss.

According to Loitiptip and Saumu, they checked into the restaurant to watch a UEFA Champions League match between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur before they were attacked.

It is reported that the two were at the facility up to 2 a.m. before they decided to leave. Saumu reportedly excused herself to the washroom before the man attacked her.

She was scared of her safety and opted to scream before Loitiptip came to her rescue.

The guard allegedly turned against the two and clobbered them before letting them go when they were pounced on by another group of men armed with clubs.

Loitiptip was hit on the head leaving him with serious injuries.

They were taken to Aga Khan Hospital where they were treated. Kombo denied the accusations and he was freed on a cash bail of Sh30,000.
