Nairobi ex-gubernatorial hopeful Miguna Miguna has argued that ODM leader Raila Odinga's claims that he was part of government means nothing to the poor Kenyans.
In a post on his official Facebook page, the controversial lawyer noted that Raila has been working with previous regimes but has nothing to show for the same.
"Mr. Raila Odinga was the Secretary General of KANU and Energy Minister in 2002 when Moi imposed Uhuru Kenyatta on KANU," reads part of Miguna's post.
He further revealed Raila's laxity to fight injustices when he (Raila) was a Minister of Roads and Prime minister during Kibaki's regime when the country experienced election violence due to bungled elections.
"He was a cabinet minister and a Coalition Partner when Kibaki stole the 2007 election. He was the Prime Minister when Kibaki gave Uhuru power in 2013," noted Miguna.
The controversial lawyer opined that Raila being in government would not solve the problems of electoral injustices, citing examples of the late Oginga Odinga, Tom Mboya and Ochieng' Oneko who did exactly what the AU envoy is doing.
"Being part of government is meaningless. Even Oginga Odinga, Tom Mboya and Achieng' Oneko were part of the first post-independence government. Kenyans need to stop impunity and injustice. It did not stop or prevent electoral theft," argued Miguna.
The fearless lawyer advised Kenyans not to expect anything tangible from Raila's gimmicks of associating with the government of the day.
