Residents of Juja constituency have appealed for heightened security in the region to curb the rising cases of insecurity.
This is after two decomposing bodies were retrieved from a bush along the Kimbo-Rwera Road on Tuesday.
According to area OCPD Simon Thirikwa, the bodies, both male, could have been transported and dumped in the area after the victims were murdered elsewhere.
He added that the bodies were doused with acid, giving assurances that the puzzle behind their deaths will be unveiled after a postmortem test, reports Thika Town Today.
The bodies were reportedly spotted by guards guarding a nearby farm who in turn informed the police.
The police boss called upon anyone with missing relatives to report to the City Mortuary where the bodies were moved to pending the autopsy.
According to area residents who now want more patrols along the bushy road, the region is being used by criminals for dumping dead bodies, after the victims are murdered in other areas.
