When he speaks, his supporters see boldness, courage and ability to dare in him, qualities which often put him at loggerheads with top leaders within Nyamira County and the country at large.
But for Timothy Bosire, the former Kitutu Masaba MP, fighting for equity and fairness is one of the fundamental virtues he can let go. His prowess in economy makes his arguments even binding.
And lately, the ODM treasurer has been causing anxiety within Jubilee team, a reason why he's often at the loggerheads with the country's second in command. He never let's opportunity go when it comes to dismembering what he refers as to Ruto's 'pathological lies'.
"If he's ready to contest for gubernatorial seat, let him do it with courtesy. Attacking the DP won't allow him to revive his dwindling fortunes in politics. He has made the DP his boogyman and we cannot allow it any more," Gusii MPs caucus chair Joash Nyamoko told him off few months ago.
South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, another close ally of Dr Ruto, has also picked fight with Mr Bosire, accusing him of failing to read the 'paradigm shift', adding that the former legislator risks being in cold for good.
"If you cannot read signs of time like him (Bosire), you risk being in cold for many years to come. Nobody is going to destruct Dr Ruto from reclaiming Gusii, not even him," Osoro had said.
For Bosire, Dr Ruto's 'sterile trips', launching fake projects and marginalising of Abagusii community contributes to his differences with the DP Ruto. He also accuses him of giving MP 'handouts' to defend him.
In his recent jibe against Ruto, Bosire dragged the issue of Kimwarer and Arror dams, arguing that Dr Ruto had diverted the allocations from Magwagwa Multipurpose dam which is still stuck.
"He comes, relaunches old projects and lays foundation to fake projects. When you go around Gusii, you'll realise that his trips have yielded nothing other than giving MPs handouts. He's totally unsuitable lead," he argues.
Bosire adds: "He diverted Sh30 billion meant for construction of Magwagwa Multipurpose dam to Kimwarer and Arror dams. He went on to squander the resources. His appetite for public resources is worrying."
For the last one year, Dr Ruto has made a whooping 20 trips to Kisii and Nyamira Counties. But Bosire, a close ally of Mr Odinga, has never hasitated to take him head-on. He also blames him for toxic politics.
In 2016, Bosire was one of MPs who blew whistles when President Uhuru Kenyatta was addressing the August House. He accused the president of failing to tame run away corruption, ignoring welfare of soldiers among others.
