Former Nyamira County senator Kennedy Okong’o has given Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama 14 days to end health workers’ strike failure to he will take him to court.
In an interview with Egesa FM on Monday, Okong'o said constituents are worried of endless strikes.
“Governor Nyagarama has only 14 days to end the ongoing nurses’ and doctors’ strike failure to which I will file a case in court to force him resign since he has failed to serve the people," he said.
The vocal politicians slammed elected politicians for failing to put the interests of the electorates at heart.
“It is worrying that county elected MCAs, MPs and the senator are not willing to intervene and help in ending the health workers’ strike," he said.
Okong’o said Nyagarama and his Deputy should be held accountable for the people who have died due to lack of nurses and doctors at public health centers.
