It can now be revealed that over six schools distributed across Garissa County are yet to know the fate of their 2018 KCSE candidates.

The matter has angered parents, teachers, students and even unionists in the area who are now faulting KNEC for allegedly targeting the region.

Led by the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Garissa branch Executive Secretary Mr Abdirizak Hussein, regional unionists  are now demanding that KNEC release the results as they are with the list of issues under investigation.

“Why should KNEC withhold the results of schools and candidates under the pretext that they are under investigations? We are telling them to release the results unconditionally together with the list of issues being investigated,” stated Abdirizak while addressing journalists on Thursday in Garissa.

The unionist further listed the schools which are yet to get their results, and among them include;

1. Ikhlas Secondary School

2. Young Muslim Secondary School

3. Excel Secondary School

4. Mnara Boys Secondary

5. Al Azar Secondary

6. Iqra Secondary School.
