A Nyamira County based politician has said that NASA leader Raila Odinga’s silence over 2022 politics should worry DP Ruto who intends to become president after President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Victor Swanya said DP Ruto should not take for granted Raila’s closeness to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Raila’s silence about 2022 politics should worry Ruto and his tanga tanga movement. Ruto will find it hard to become president in 2022,” he said.
The vocal politician said Raila’s handshake with Uhuru might have brokered a deal which will make DP Ruto cry in 2022.
Swanya who unsuccessfully vied for the Kitutu Masaba MP race during the last year’s polls said Ruto will have uphill task to take over from Raila's strongholds.
“In Nyamria alone, Ruto will not penetrate. Leaders from the region should stop lying to him because locals won’t vote for him given that he abandoned Raila in the hour of need during the 2013 polls,” he said.
Swanya called on elected leaders to serve the electorates dearly as by the campaign promises made during the last year’s polls.
