Political analyst Herman Manyora has warned Deputy President William Ruto against downplaying recent remarks by Jubilee Party Vice Chair David Murathe.
Speaking in Mbale, Vihiga County on Wednesday, Murathe told Ruto to shun his presidential bid and retire with President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022, poking holes into his bid.
In his YouTube analysis channel Take It or Leave It on Tuesday, Manyora advised that Ruto should be very worried about the remarks as it is just a slight revelation of what awaits him in 2022.
He said that they are most likely coming from more powerful individuals opposed to his bid and who are using the former Gatanga lawmaker as their mouthpiece.
According to Manyora, the DP should actually heed Murathe's advise to avoid self destruction.
"Ruto should know that this is not Murathe speaking, he is speaking on behalf of powerful forces, round and about and its all about 2022," he advised.
He observed that Ruto will most likely succumb to what seems to be coming his way should he put up a fight, noting that he should instead play along and retaliate gradually.
"Ruto, whatever is happening behind the scenes which is now coming out is most likely to finish you, let them have their way and be a trojan horse," he added.
Murathe who was accompanied by former Mukurweini lawmaker Kabando Wa Kabando added that the DP should not expect the Central Kenya vote, contrary to an initial promise.
