Many perceived the mini-polls as litmus taste for Raila Odinga's political strength in the country.

Outspoken Kapseret Member of parliament Oscar Sudi who is a close ally and confidant to deputy president William Ruto was not left behind as he was impressed by what befell his rivals.

In a series of Facebook posts, the outspoken legislator and a strong believer of William Ruto’s presidential bid openly displayed his happiness.

In one of the posts, Sudi congratulated DP Ruto for winning the two elections which he did not campaign for.

“Congratulations the doyen H.E William Samoei Ruto for winning in the elections you never campaigned,” Sudi posted on Facebook.

Ugenya constituency where ODM’s candidate, Christopher Karan who garnered 14,507, lost to little known David Ochieng of Movement for Democracy and Growth (MDG) party with 18,730 votes is in Siaya County.

Despite the fact that the county is known to be solidly behind Raila Odinga, Senator James Orengo who has threatened to table a motion to impeach DP Ruto hails from the county.

“And the voters of Ugenya and Embakasi constituency wondered how Ruto’s impeachment concerns their constituencies and voted direct opposite,” Sudi said on another post.

In Embakasi South, ODM Irshad Sumra lost and conceded to Wiper’s Julius Mwathe.
