Kabando says that it is in 2020 that Kenya will demonstrate its hatred towards the graft menace, stating that the entire world will join in celebrating the war on graft.

In a tweet Thursday, he observed that criminals will end up behind bars this year, which, in addition to the achievements Kenya is already making, will make 2022 more special.

"2020 is the year when the whole world will celebrate Kenya for bold actions against corruption. Beyond legendary athletics, amazing wildlife, straddling equator, vortex of hospitality or cultural diversity, we will be known 2020 more for filling our jails with merchants of evil," he said.

In a separate tweet, he stated that Kenya is already suffering in the hands of the greedy, and Kenyans cannot just keep complaining but must play their role in reversing the situation.

He called upon Kenyans to rally behind President Uhuru Kenyatta in his bid to repair the damaged republic, apparently in reference to his war declaration on corruption and the corrupt.

"Kenya our only home. Is damaged, disrepaired by greed. We are justifiably angry. But can't just complain. To get a new modern house of egalitarian economic architecture, we remove debris, insert new choice blocks. I choose OPTIMISM; to support proactive efforts by our President," he added.

As a result of Uhuru's reignited war on graft, Kenya has managed to see top state officials, including Cabinet Ministers and governors being arraigned in court and barred from office.
