Renowned city lawyer Donald Kipkorir has commented on Harambee Star's defender Joash Onyango's new look ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set to kick off this Friday.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the flamboyant lawyer compared the 26-year-old defender to Liverpool's striker Mohamed Salah who is 27 years old.
"Kenya star Joash Onyango, 26 & Egypt star Mohamed Salah, 27 at the #AFCON2019. I guess football is a geriatric game: it seems it takes youth out of the youth! Thank God my people run instead of playing football," he said.
Joash's vintage white beard has left many surprised, with people giving different opinions, especially after details of his age emerged on social media.
However, he is not the first African player to adopt a funny new look ahead of this competition. Similar cases happened with El Hadji Diouf of Senegal, and Rigobert Song of Cameroon who came out with similar hair styles in previous AFCON tournaments.
Harambee Stars are currently in Egypt for the AFCON, where they are set to face Senegal, Tanzania, and Algeria in Group C matches.
The first match for Harambee Stars will be on June 23, where they will face Algeria.
