Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris now says that opposition leader Raila Odinga has infiltrated the government more than many people may think.
Speaking on Radio Jambo on Wednesday evening, Passaris cited Odinga's recent meeting with Indian Prime Minister Nahendra Modi, attracting attention to his reception in India.
She said that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader is indeed serving the nation on a level very close to the presidency, which he is, however, yet to capture after four unsuccessful shots.
She, however, noted that he doesn't need the title and office to release his vision for Kenyans, stating that he has already embarked on the same, hence his latest moves.
"Raila anapoenda nchi yoyote anakaribishwa kama rais. Yeye ni statesman, hahitaji ofisi kuhudumia wakenya (he is receiving presidential treatment, but he is a statesman and doesn't need an office to serve his people)," she said.
The former Prime Minister left for India on Sunday accompanied by his wife Ida Odinga, before the Tuesday deliberations with his host.
According to Passaris, the talks were obviously for the sake of the nation, adding that Odinga represented his people in the meeting and will bring with him good news and goodies for Kenyans upon his return.
"Akikuja atatuambia alichotuletea lakini najua atatuletea mazuri (he will brief us on his journey upon his return but he will surely bring with him some goodies for the nation)," she added.
