Addressing journalists on Sunday, the Kenya National Drama and Film Festivals (KNDFF) Executive Secretary James Indimuli said Prof Magoha will be the chief guest at the festival's gala which will be held at Kibabii University.

"The events have been wonderful and going on as we planned. Our chief guest at the Gala Festivals on 11th will be the Cabinet Secretary of Education Prof George Magoha," said Indimuli.

He added that the national drama events have been tantalizing with the high-stakes and competition among the students being in top gear.

"This year's festivals are very competitive and indeed we have talents within the young people which should be tapped," he added.

He further reaffirmed that the events have not had any negative reports since they commenced on April 3.

Kibabii University in Bungoma County is the host of the 60th National Drama Festivals which attracted over twenty-five thousand participants across the country.

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) is this year's title sponsor under the theme: Protecting Children from Exposure to Harmful Film and Broadcast Content.
