Deputy President William Ruto has warned leaders who have ventured into spreading falsehood.
Ruto speaking at Andrew Kaggwa Catholic Church for a fund drive towards the development of the church at Suneka in Bonchari Sub County, he said local leaders should shun engaging in divisive politics.
"Voters won't vote for a leader who is only interested in spreading propaganda. Such leaders should be apprehended and arraigned in court because their intention is to incite people to throw stones to each other," he stated.
He urged local leaders who lost during the last year's polls to give humble time to the leaders who won to deliver to the electorates.
"2022 is not far for those who lost the elections last year to try the luck again. I am therefore, requesting the political losers to consider joining hands with those who won to serve the people," Ruto noted.
The DP challenged police officers not to spare any leader inciting people to fight.
Ruto confirmed that he is not opposed to the referendum but, insisted that the referendum must benefit poor Kenyans.
