Vihiga Woman Representative Beatrice Adagala told Ruto to rethink his 2022 strategy ‘because the region cannot back him and will instead rally behind Mudavadi’.

The MP wants the DP to mobilize the Kalejin vote basket and support Mudavadi in 2022.

“Mudavadi is owed by the Rift Valley and Central communities because he supported retired President Daniel Moi for 24 years and Uhuru Kenyatta in 2002. We have also supported Raila Odinga three times,” Adagala said.

She said these ‘political debts’ must be paid before anyone asks for the region’s support.

Ruto has been making inroads into the region as well as other areas perceived to be opposition zones.
