Detectives on Monday interrogated another aide to Governor Okoth Obado over the mysterious murder of Sharon Otieno, a second year student at Rongo University, reports the Standard.

The man, whose identity cannot be revealed since he's yet to be arraigned in court, is believed to be the owner of the vehicle used by kidnappers in the murder saga.

The  black Toyota Fielder was impounded by the police and detained at Oyugis Police station.

Its driver, Jackson Otieno, was arrested on Sunday and detained for 10 days after detectives managed to get a court order from Oyugis law courts.

He has been operating as a taxi driver in Migori but the vehicle went missing two weeks ago, in concurrence with the time Ms. Otieno was murdered.

Understandably, the aide's wife, who also works in the county government of Migori, was also questioned by the police.

It is not clear whether the man was under arrest or he's been used to help in the investigations.

Sources say that the man is a close aide to Governor Obado's wife, Hellen Obado, who has also been summoned.

Already, Michael Oyamo, an aide to Governor Okoth Obado is in police custody awaiting to be charged with murder.
