Despite their escalating political rivalry, Deputy President William Ruto on Friday hinted a possible reunion with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
At Nyamiranga Secondary where he was fundraising for 15 SDA churches, Dr Ruto asked leaders to concentrate on development for now before 2022 polls.
Dr Ruto also said 'he cannot rule out' future partnership with opposition leader Raila Odinga, terming him a 'good man' with vision.
"For now let's work for the people. Let's stop unnecessary sideshows for the sake of development. Our people want to see clean water, electricity and good roads," he said.
"When that time comes, we shall face the people for votes. I know who to work with. Even the vitendawili (Raila) is not a bad man. Anything of possible," he said amid laugher from the crowd.
The two have been going ballistic against each other in recent weeks. On Saturday, they shared podium in Narok County during Madaraka Day celebrations.
In the past three elections, Mr Odinga has won both in Nyamira and Kisii Counties. Dr Ruto is keen to displace him in the race to woo over 800,000 voters.
During the tour, Ruto was accompanied by local leaders from the region. Notably, Governor John Nyagarama and Senator Okong'o Mogeni were absent.
