Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has differed with his Kibera counterpart Ken Okoth over his proposal to have bhang or 'Marijuana' legalised.
Duale says that legalizing bhang should not be encouraged at all.
He says that bhang has ruined thousands lives of young Kenyans and legalising it will be making matters worse.
"Personally, in my opinion, I don't think it is right to have bhang legalised " he said on Friday.
Duale said that the reasons being fronted by Kibera MP to have bhang legalised are not convincing.
He, however, said that the MP has a right to present the Bill into Parliament for debate.
"We will debate it once it reaches the floor of the House and vote against it," he said.
Duale asked politicians to stop condemning Ken Okoth over his Bill.
"MPs have a right to draft any bill they deem fit to be presented to the House and its the House that decides on whether the bill becomes law or not," the Leader of Majority said.
Okoth is proposing to have bhang legalised on grounds that it has medicinal value and could boost the country's economy.
John Mututho has faulted the proposal to legalise bhang.
