Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has bashed President Uhuru Kenyatta for being a weakling despite being the President and the leader of the ruling Jubilee Party.
Speaking on KTN's Point Blank show on Wednesday, Mudavadi noted that Uhuru has allowed himself to be pushed to the corner by some of his allies, in reference to Deputy President William Ruto and his team.
He faulted Uhuru for failing to take charge of the party, a situation that is now turning him into the punching bag of some allies of Ruto who have been questioning his moves and even at some point attacking him.
Mudavadi noted that Uhuru is allowing himself to be pushed to a dangerous corner and is now becoming an outsider in the party, advising him to rake charge of the party and demonstrate that he is the ultimate leader.
"I have to tell Uhuru is to address the issues in Jubilee; you cannot be put in a situation where systematically you are being perceived as the opposition wing in Jubilee.
He must punch, he should not allow himself to be pushed into that dangerous corner of being a stranger in his own party,” Mudavadi was quoted by the Standard.
He also took issue with the President for failing to realize his threats to fight corruption and instead being the one revealing new scandals instead of using his powers to deal with them.
“I would advise the President that you cannot be a whistleblower in your own government. Uhuru has to confront the bull by the horns," he added.
This was most likely in relation to Uhuru's Tuesday remarks in Machakos county, that the nation has been losing millions of shillings in paying ghost workers in some departments.
