Former Bishop at Pastor James Ng'ang'a's Neno Evangelism Church, Bishop Robert Wafula has opened another new church in Mombasa.
Bishop Wafula left Ng'ang'a's Coast Region Church after a 'matuta' rebuking that went viral.
In recent weeks, Pastor Ng'ang'a rebuked his bishops for disrespecting his wife. In his rants, the controversial man of God said his bishops joined him when they were very poor, but after making some money and collecting wealth, they had started deprecating his wife.
While demanding respect, the pastor warned his bishops that he would close some of the church branches if they don't obey his orders.
Bishop Wafula quit from the ministry and he is now a new founder of the Shalom Miracle Church, Mombasa.
When he quit, Wafula had indicated that he was to pray for God's guidance before making a move.
“I am going into silence. Not making a move now. I am praying that God guides me on the next step. I do not want to act in anger. Ng’ang’a was like my father, and even though we have fallen out, I still respect him,” he was quoted by the Standard.
He is currently running the church at a rented property, Mombasa Women Hall.
'I wish to welcome you for the school of prayers service this Tuesday at Mombasa Women Hall from 5.30pm. We shall not hold the lunch hours service at the venue, with due respect we have let our brother from Neno Mombasa under the leadership of the servant of God Reverend James Maina to utilise the facility for their lunch service. May God bless you reverend and welcome to Mombasa sir," Bishop Wafula recently posted on Facebook.
