Benga Musician Alphonce Kioko popularly known as 'maima' has urged gospel musician Stephen Kasolo not to allow pride to overtake him.
Speaking at an interview with Musyi FM on Saturday, Kioko said that once a musician or any celebrity is overwhelmed by pride, then his downfall has began.
He said it was wrong for Kasolo to' trash' other musicians' achievements and put himself on top.
"Kasolo is my friend and I would like to tell him that pride doesn't help. If it reaches a time that you think you're the only one and the others are trash, then you have started failing and your downfall is knocking," said Kioko.
He said that Kasolo was wrong to claim that his Groove Award win belong to Kitui County yet people from all over the country voted for him.
He said the singer should not cause a rift between the people and should respect each other.
A week ago Kasolo, walked out of a radio interview at county FM after bashing other gospel musicians.
Kasolo heaped praises on himself claiming he has helped alot of upcoming artists unlike his counterparts Wilberforce Musyoka, Justus Myello and Purity Kateiko.
