A displeased Deputy President William Ruto has accused a section of Rift Valley politicians of thriving on propaganda and conspiracy theories to defame him.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at Bomet on Saturday, Ruto indirectly referred to his critics as 'brokers' without development agenda for the people.
"There is a it of rumours being peddled by brokers. They have nothing substantive in terms of development for the people.
"I urge you to ignore such hopeless characters. Their main aim to to attack people carelessly without sufficient evidence just to be paid,"roared Ruto.
It was the DP's second trip to South Rift in one month, where he formally received former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto to his camp.
MPs Silas Tiren (Moiben), Joshua Kutuny (Cherangany) and Alfred Keter of Nandi Hills, have been leading onslaught against Ruto where they directly accused him of sabotaging maize farming.
In a hard tackling interview, Kutuny insisted that a number of Ruto's companies were paid part of Sh2.5 billion by NCPB controversially.
"Just Google Koilel Farm Limited. The company is owned by DP Ruto and received over Sh20 million. It's part of the companies being investigated by EACC."
