Governor John Nyagarama's competence has yet again been put in question following ongoing recruitment of CPSB officials and various transfers.
Nyagarama,74, who retained his seat on ODM, has for months now been accused of failing to initiate tangible projects since the inception of devolution in 2013.
And his decision to back retired principal David Nyachiro and subsequent transfers of directors has caused jitters among social media users.
"Directors are technical support people. You cannot transfer someone from his area of specialization to a new field. The governor is now too old to think,"argued Lameck Nyagari on Facebook.
Nelson Osiemo added: "He is recruiting retirees besides glorifying clanism. Fighting focused Kenyans instead of supporting them. Those transfers of directors are illegal."
On Monday, Director Finance Philip Machuki was deployed to health while Head Treasury Lawrence Nyangena was taken to water, a move that caused jitters.
But a chief officer who spoke in confidence supported the governor's move, accusing the transferred officials of orchastrating standoff in the government.
"Though I didn't expect them but the move is welcome. The said officers have intimidated operations in government," he said.
Mr Nyagarama is also accused of tolerating corruption and impunity with the latest EACC report showing that Nyamira is among the most corrupt in the country.
